Investors who plan to assume full ownership of a PEI business by investing in and actively managing the business in the province are eligible for this stream.
Entrepreneur Stream Eligibility
PEI offers rewarding career opportunities and a business community that is supportive of entrepreneurs.
After September 20, 2018, the province will only invite entrepreneurs selected through the Work Permit stream as the 100% Ownership and Partial Ownership streams will close. Therefore, applicants now have only 2 options to immigrate to PEI as entrepreneurs:
- Buy or Sell a PEI Business, or
- Work Permit Stream
The Work Permit Stream is for foreign nationals with business ownership or extensive management experience who would like to move to PEI to start their business:
- have a minimum personal net worth of $600,000;
- be within 21-59 years of age at the time of application;
- have a minimum education of secondary school equivalent;
- minimum language requirements equivalent to a CLB/NCLC 4.
